Description
Sailing for Liberty is an abstract oil and old wax painting with a little other media added. The square at the center bottom, in my mind, represents Ellis Island in New York and the silver square within in it represents the Statue of Liberty. The shape in the lower right represents a sailboat or a boat that could have immigrants sailing to America. The painting became a conversation about the larger issue of immigration.
